Gorf 2000 a.k.a. G2K

The outlook of upcoming Jaguar software is pretty bleak. Steve Scavone and Terrance Williams are working hard to add yet another classic update to the Jag's library of game. If you're familiar with the original Gorf arcade game, you'll know that the gameplay includes 5 different mini-games. We've been able to get some screenshots of the Flagship mode (PC demo). What's here looks pretty good! Some nicely shaded/colored polygonal ships are shown here.

I received the MOD file that will possibly become the title screen track. It sounds pretty good! The style is hardcore/metal and Steve's done a nice job. The track is all done in 16-bit samples...Steve will eventually have to decrease those to 8 bit to make 'em all fit. I also recently got the Mod for the Astro 2K mode. It's the same style as the title track with some cool new riffs. The intro sounds like marching Space Invaders...very cool!
